I have a really stupid question for you. I dont understand how to do the sun stuff in the background. Can you elaborate on it a bit?

well. you can either goto your top layer and go "Filter>render>lens flare"
or take a soft white brush and make a layer behind the player and brush lightly to give a light sunny effect.
