I see a few shapes in a lot of sigs/psd's and i was woundering how do i get them,like the rectangle and square shapes etc.because i can't figure out how to make them
help would be apprechiated

Use the Marquee tool

Right click on the top left of your set of tools, should be a rectange with dotted lines. Right click on that and you can make circles & rectanges.

Just create a new layer. drag a shape out and fill it in with the Fill too
