In a bit of a shock move, Man United stalwart Mikael Silvestre has joined Arsenal for an undisclosed fee.

Not sure why to be honest, he's not going to get first team football on a regular basis, and I feel if he'd stay at Man United, he'd be viewed on the same level as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, a club stalward who will be respected.

Interesting to see if he plays against Manchester United, and what the response will be.

Yes, it was a good movement by michael silvestre. Yesterday I said that Wiliiam Gallas are not enough good for Arsenal in defence, today Arsenal buy Michael Silvestre for strenghth their defence. Sanderos+Michael Silvistre could be a atrong defence. I'm pretty sure in the signing that was a promise that Michael Silvestre cannot play agianst Manchester United. And I think Silvestre are bored for take a long sit at the bench.

I'm shock with this movement too. I think that michael Silvestre will retired at Manchester United same like ole Gunnar solksjaer did. But he choose to transfer to the rival: Arsenal. This is also big shock because he was transfer to the rival.Did united hav enough defender if of them injured or Sir Alex want to use young defender?

Not entirely sure about the lack of love for Gallas, I think he's one of Arsenal stalwarts. I also think that you cannot write clauses where players can't play against old clubs, but wouldn't be surprised if SAF stuck one in.

mikael won't be able to get a first team in arsenal to. man city was the perfect place to go where he would be able to be regular in first line up

No. He are best in Arsenal. why he must go to downgrade team. In Arsenal he can replace Gallas. because Gallas heave the worth perfomance in Arsenal and make the team down. I think the best is the combination of Sanderos and Silvestre. goodluck for silvestre.

I dont think so now, the lost to Fulham make me wonder how is Mikael Silvestre perfomance. Why the loss to the small club like fulham. I think Wenger should sig some new defence. Big, faster and have high determination and can play along Silvestre so they are strong in defend. Put Gallas out.

Without Silvestre Arsenal can win against Newcastle, this show that Arsenal are improve from week to week. Silvestre are injured when he came to Arsenal and I hope that he can early fit to substitute William Gallas as defender.

I hope he will comeback from the injury. Arsenal need him at defense. This will strength the squad. Having him, they will be great team. Because silvestre is atrong defence ever after, but he is getting old just now.
