who do you think is the best defender in this world ???

I think Fabio Cannavaro is the best and carlos puyol is the next in line.

A few years ago, I would of said Fabio Cannavaro. However, he hasn't really been at his best for Real Madrid.

The three best in my opinion is: Puyol, Carvalho and Nesta (in no particular order).

I agree with you. Cannavaro nowadays are not best defender. for me, Rio Ferdianand and Carlos Puyol are the best defender that I ever seen. Their marking are superb.

Fabio Cannavaro? What his potential to be a good defender. i think it is Puyol. Puyol is the best defender. He is rough and have tight marking to the striker. Puyol is the main factor for the win of Spain in Euro. He also can give his best for his country and his club. What a great behavior to the great footballer.
