I doubt referees make any mistakes intentionally for any clubs in the premierleague, and I highly doubt the heads would delegate the referees to ref the team that they support. The home team usually seems to get better decisions though because of the pressure from the crowd.
I think the referees do their best to stay impartial. Mostly, to me anyway, it seems they rule against each team about equally. I can't say I think they ever intentionally foul someone when they don't deserves, but honest mistakes do happen.
lol..I will have to say Manchester United without a doubt, some of the penalties that have been awarded to them are just pathetic, also some of the blatant penalties that have not been awarded against them also make me wonder.

I agree, on TV there have been some very unfair free kicks, also once when I went to a Sheff U match vs norwich the referrer was so much fairer to norwich it was unbelievable, and you could imagine the shouts from the Sheff U crowd......
I don't think referees make mistakes intentionally. It is just of the team on the particular day. If luck is with you ,you get lucky. Otherwise bad luck.
