Well the best player in the world for me without a doubt is Cristiano Ronaldo. The sheer volume of goals he scored in the premiership last term is nothing short of greatness. He was the main reason why Manchester United finished champions of the league along with the champions league trophy. Quite simply a different class. I think he can take this form into next season, obviously he may not repeat what he has done this season but I can still see him scoring 30+ goals for whatever club he plays for next season whether it is Real Madrid or Manchester United.

I think the best player in the world is Lionel Messi not because of early comparions with Diego Maradona but because of his dexterity and talent. I know this was his worst season because of his fitness but he will surely come back and score goals.

Yes, Cristiano Ronaldo can't defend and he was only making mistake to defence. It not the one the best playe in the world. I havee seen Rooney playing as a role as defender when MAnchester United was attacked?can we name Rooney the best striker ever after in this world?

rooney is a good player but not the best i think the english fans cant see it but u worship your players to much ur national team is full of egos some of your players arent even that good. jimmy bullard is very under rated for u. no offense in saying this. and yes i no ireland aint that good eter i can admit it
