What do you do when one of your best players kicks off about a signing?

I recently signed a striker, when I only had three first teamers (all fairly young too) and they ALL complained about it. I told two to button it and sold another.

One took my dismissive words well but one remained annoyed - the better one. I have now sold the other player meaning I just have two out and out strikers but the player in question is still unhappy. What can I do?

You could go to transfer settings and set it to something like "Key Player" which would make him less insecure you're gonna get rid of him.


Try offering him a new contract and most of all, make sure you praise him when he does well in games.

On his profile what does it say he is unhappy about at the moment?

I've upped his status from backup to rotation but he's still miffed. It says "feels there is too much competition for a first team place". He won't talk about a contract.
