That, 'your best ever player has just scored his last ever goal' feeling...
Has anyone ever had a player, towards the end of his career score an amazing goal, then get injured immediatly afterwards...
Andy Carroll, 31 with some 303 goals in 407 appearances is out for 4 months with a torn calf muscle. How much of a chance would you think that he's ever going to be the same again.
So, anyone else have any moments like this.

No... Now with what I have said you can either make a comment about how annoying it is to have your best player vanish in an instant, or you can be a Jackass (which you appear to be doing), I'm not really bothered either way. I'm just not sure how being a Jackass really helps anything...

You're quick to jump on SWaRF, yet you're just being a complete ass yourself in your reply. SWaRF is a great poster on the forum here, and a simple "no, I've never posted on this issue before" would have been sufficient.
Your attitude puts a downer on the topic now, so I'll reply later with what I was going to this time.

i play fm06 and am barnet. i got a killer striker called neil harris, he played like pele and scored lots of goals for me he played 20 games and scored 18 goals. he was injured for the rest of the season and his stats just kept going down and down so i flogged him off to bolton for 10 times the amount i bought im for and he is now used in the squad rotation system there.

Sorry, I'm just sick of seeing people posting things along the lines of this. What's the point. It's the whole "use the search function" sentiment that really get's on my nerves. A new thread doesn't hurt anyone, especially when many lose their topic and end up going on about nothing. In the case of this, I'm actually very confused why he would reply to this by asking if I had posted this before... I mean, what's the point. If I had, what's it hurting, and why the hell should he care? And if not, then he's just making another pointless comment that will push another thread off topic. Either way he somehow feels that he has an obligation to tell me what I should and shouldn't post.

There, a constructive reply!
As for the thread he found. Carroll was 28, he was still the best player I ever had, and stragely enough it was about how player's can return with their lethal form, whilst on the other hand this is quite obviously entirely on declining players being injured having nearly no chance of returning. Like Ronaldo.
