Now this makes more sense, and i'd be inclined to agree that it does happen. I experienced it in a 3-0 defeat to Man Utd in the CL with Enyeama in goal, he stopped everything and we hammered them but ended up losing. I wouldn't like to see it removed though, because I think this sort of thing makes FM the game it is, the ability to cause real football emotion as we see our 13th shot palmed back out by the keeper, it's just like real life. To lose it would be to lose an element of realism.

I'm a Man Utd fan and I remember watching Cantona hit the post 3 times against Dortmund years ago and Dprtmund scoring with a long range deflected gioal that took them into the final. Trezeguet scoring an amazing goal against us for Monaco, it was just about their only chance and Utd destroyed them but lost. Even Friedel this season, he stopped Rooney about 6 times, and was eventually beaten in added time for Utd to equalise.

It's real and it's an essential part of the game IMO.

Those Dortmund and Monaco games are amongst the most crushingly frustrating and disappointing I can remember watching.

Closely followed by the two Deportivo games with good ol' Barthez And the Porto game with Scholes disallowed goal, the recent revelations about that season make it even tougher to swallow.

At least give the option to allow all news into the inbox. I have never been able to get into FM 2008 as I feel like I am existing in a vaccuum. Part of scouting, in my opinion, is seeing rumors about players that other teams are interested in.

Well Milan are rumoured to be prepared to pay £35 Million for Ade, and he scored 24 Premiership Goals (not including cups etc) which was 2nd only to Ronaldo last season.

Stats in general need to be improved, Adebayor is just one of them. I'd also get rid of this worse stats but two footedness nonsense. Just give the good players good stats and the poorer players poorer stats.

Player pictures (including that face gen thingy)

It adds nothing to the gameplay, I couldn't care less what a player looks like.
Also looks a bit amaturish when only a 1/10th of people have real pictures in game.

Also it would free up some space to improve or add featues

Couldn't disagree more. By that logic let's get rid of the team icons too because they add nothing. In fact the team colours are unnecessary. Why give regens names either. Let's get rid of that too.

Yeah ok it's taking your POV to the extreme, but the point remains valid. Team colours, names and all that stuff is a HUGE part of feeling like this stuff is real. FM does a woeful enough job as it is of making you feel a part of a living world, so why on earth would you want to remove something that actually helps.

If anything I look forward to when the real-players have gone so everyone has a facegen. I love the feature, especially for those long-term games.

Agree with the first bit, but having a photo for every player would cost a fortune and mean that FM comes on a blu-ray. Hardly sensible.

And if you think that the player pictures are cramming the DVD full and stopping us getting other bits, you're sorely mistaken. The fact that SI know they have a captive audience who will always buy FM in "Sims" numbers is the reason so little gets added.
