Good idea to go vista I'd say as any future versions will be suited best for it. Despite what many say it's not that bad

Don't worry about a clean install. Just install the game as usual, with it being a new system it won't have any trace of FM on it so just install it as normal.

FM worked better on vista for me. But that's probably got to do with the extra 6 Gb of RAM i put into my computer

To be honest its very hard not to buy a new computer or laptop without having to having Windows Vista if you are going to have a Microsoft operating system. Most shops have already stopped giving a choice between Vista and XP and so you may have to have Vista if you buy a new laptop.

I run it on Vista x64 with no problems. Vista isn't as bad as people make it out to be, and some people just say it's crap when they have no idea what they are talking about.

Agreed here too. I was very sceptical about putting on my gaming rig but I can honestly say that I have not had even half of the problems with Vista 64 that I had with XP 64.

I'm on vista and i am currently having a nightmare trying to get the thing installed.

see my post in the bugs forum.

I'm sure once i get it installed it will be fine but at the moment nothing is working, somethign to do with a gui user interface error?

i'm not hot on computers.
