Default Trying to Save Lincoln from the drop

I'm currently managing Lincoln. In my third season. Jst got promoted to league one. So at the moment i have played 23 W 4 D 4 Lost 15. So i'm getting religated at the mo. I have tried many different types of tactics. But my defending is terrible. On paper my defense should be proforming alot better. One thing i'm having trouble with is marking the forwards. I have both my center halfs marking one striker and my def midfielder closing down the whole pitch. But either the striker gets free cos my def closes down a midfilder or he stays on his man and i still concede.

Any advise on tactics or individual instructions.

All help would be fantastic

Use three centre backs 2 marking one sweeping and 2 full backs.

Put your centre halfs on lower closing down.

When away from home, back arrow your defensive midfielder to centre halfs.

Don't keep changing your tactics, give your players a little while to adjust.

Have a look on the tactics and training forum, lots of advice on there.

Also, if you haven't already, get a parent club and loan a few decent youngsters.
