play.com always announce products ages before the actual people making it do for some some stupid reason. They don't actually know anything.

I'm sure the reason is to get you to part with your money and make pre-orders, so not quite stupid 
But yeah, I would take any information you hear about FM 2009 with a pinch of salt unless you read about it on here from an official source or on the SEGA / Football Manager websites.  | |

I might just download it this year, rather than going to the shops and buying it. Depends when the DD will be available.

play are generally pretty accurate with the release date but dont believe the hype
