Hey. This is the first time I'm writing here. I've played the Football Manger franchise for a long time and I never really experienced a problem like this one before.
The game does a "Crash dump" on a specific date (february 12th 2008). I don't want to lose this game as it is my best so far. I've tried narrowing down the problem and going back to an older save, but it always crashes on that date. So when I press the continue button and stop on the 11th of february 2008 the game runs fine, but then bang the 12th of february 2008 and it does a crash dump.
My system is brand new with a fresh installation of Vista Ultimate 32 bit, 2 gb RAM, Intel Core Duo CPU E8500 @3.2, motherboard: XFX nForce 790i Ultra 3-Way SLI, Geforce 9800GX2 Quad SLI.
The game and the system are up-to-date.
I downloaded some third party pictures and skins for the players and clubs and I've used the data editor to correct the names of players, leagues and competitions.
Try starting a new game and seeing if it will progress past that date. It is possible that the 8.0.2 fixed the crash, but the game was at a point where the fix point will have been passed.
