I have gone 8 league games without a win, and that might not seem that bad, but my team are playing terrible, and can't score. The fans keep critisizing my tactics, so i change them, but noting works

I have loads of strikers, but they cant score. i have one who was top scorer with 35 goals in League 2 2 years ago, one who scored 19 goals in a promotion winning team last year, one who was playing in the championship quite frequently last year, an international for a european club, and a brazilian striker.

But the most annoying thing is that i started the season great, but after being in the top 3 up until about the 11th game of the season, i am now 11th in the league

ps: it's now nine games, as the 4th from bottom team beat me with a last minute winner

Have a look in the tactics forum for some help rather than pointlessly moaning like this.

My advice: Take a break and retool. Don't rush into the next game. Do the opposite of what you normally do. Rest some of those under-performing players and address declining performances.

Just remember that the hard times make good times all the sweeter!

Ive had this many times, changing your tactics or player who aren't performing up to scratch. If that doesn't work then try and stick it out and once you win try to keep the morale up and Im sure more wins will come.

When your on a skid and morale is low it is very difficult to break out of it.

The fans are complaining about your tactics? Wow things must be bad. If you aren't sure what to do with your tactics then keep it simple. Go Defensive, deep line, counter attack, quick tempo and direct passing. That's a start anyways and tweak it as you go.

Why can't I win?

Because I suck at this game.

I try to remind myself of that every time I start to win and then hit a skid.

Still doesn't make me feel any better, though...

Nah dw mate it's not you. There's something wrong with the match engine which SI is going to hopefully fix in 09.
