As the title says i'm trying to speed up gameplay as its lagging a little i'm currently playing FM2005 for sentimental value and have used the save game cleaner but has little effect i'm running about 30 leagues in the season 2011/2012.
If anyone has any other suggestions that would be great
Other than upgrading your PC, you can uncompress save games, and set aside paging files to use as RAM. Neither of those will add all that much speed, though.
Oh, and if you haven't already, play the game with no internet connection and turn off all your anti-virus monitoring. I used to have MacAfee on a 1.25GB machine and when I took it off, FM flew.
Really easy and cheap way is to busy a USB memory stick and then use the ready boost feature, makes the equivalent of RAM and can be removed easily.
Certainly works for some of my games, although I never run that many leagues as only have a 2GB one, but i'm sure you could buy a bigger one or a few of them if you want to
