Ah, well I don't have the blessing (or curse?) of a wife/girlfriend or kids. It's just me and my dogs, and my FM.

AI doesn't cheat. That would indicate some sort of consciousness, which computers don't have. And if you mean "cheat" as in "bends the rules to increase difficulty and therefore keep the user interested" it has to be done within the rules of the game and its programming, such as the 4-2-4 "cheat".

This is either a) a bug, but we'll never know unless someone else experiences it, or b) the user was mistaken as to what happened, eg, did he really take a free kick or was he tossing the ball to the actual place the kick was to be taken, or perhaps a tiny deflection that didn't show up well on the graphics, or a number of other reasons.

Obviously the player placed the ball in the correct spot and then took the shot .

Not all games cheat , i am a collector and i know of what i am talking about

There used to be a bug in which a player took a throw in to himself. This seems very similar. If it happens again, don't delete the game, but take it to the bugs forum.

FM doesn't cheat.

So, you may have found a bug. Therefore, post a savegame that includes this bug in the Bugs Forum, and we can then try to do something about it. Just posting a rant doesn't help us in any way does it?
