I've just signed the Brazilian Striker on a "Free Transfer" from CSKA Moscow.I say "Free Transfer" because he has cost me E9.75million in compensation.

Why?I've never seen more than E1.5million compensation before.

Bosmans only apply inside the EU, so you have to pay compensation.

This is true (although players based in Argentina, Colombia and several other countries can be signed in exactly the same way), but I'm having a hard time figuring out how these compensation amounts are calculated. In the beginning of the 6 month-period the compesation seems to be more than the player's value, and it seems to decrease very slowly during those 6 months (for some players it decreases slower than for other players). Then when the contract has expired, you can get him for free.

And BTW if the Bosman ruling applies in the EU, why doesn't it apply in the Czech Republic in FM?
