Over the last few seasons I've gone out of my way to bring in a lot of youth in order to rebuild my rapidly aging squad. Whilst my defense and midfield has been done up to the standard I wished, my strike-force still lacks some of it's previous firepower. I've now gotten a lot of young talent off on loan, but they are all a few years off which has left me with the following. The Legend that is Andy Carroll as my Target Man/ Brick House up front. He's aged a lot which has reduced his already lacking speed, however his dominance in the air is nearly up to it's former standard which has kept him as part of the first team. Next my best young striker Stefan Fredriksson. He has been developing at an incredible rate since coming in at 19 from relegated Tottenham. After him I have Santos, good young Brazillian Striker. Though a partnership between him and Fredriksson lacks the airial ability that the team is used to. He's does decently as a targetman, but not well enough for my liking. Following on I have one of my few decent academy players, Mark Short. My former assistant Bould told me he had the potential to be the next Cisse, and he sure did in the end, after being out on loan for 7 seasons after his 18th birthday, he is decent all round in the air, but significantly lacks in other areas, though his pace does come in handy. Then we have my stand in; Jose Baxter, normally playing in the hole I do use Baxter occasionally as a Center Forward, but still not quite what I was looking for.
I decided to look into another player, and I found one that could replace Carroll's ability in the air as well as elsewhere in one Mohamed Ayari. I can only see two problems with this though: 1) The ammount of money it would take to get him from Juventus is probably around £30-40 million. That would be nearly all of the money the club has in the bank. 2) If I were to pay that much I'm not sure if 5 good and 2 decent seasons would be worth that much.
Upto you! I don't mean to be dismissive, but we can't say if he will be good enough or not. I bought Huntelaar on the basis of this forums recommendation and he was awful, but other people have said he was briliant. He might be good in 10 peoples save and awful in 10 other peoples saves, so you just have to make up your own mind.
Oh no, I'm not going to make my decision on whether other people think he will or will not be good. I just want to know what other people would be doing here. Also, the only thing people here have to go on is that picture of the 26 year old Ayari in 2021 and my description, so it isn't really like real players.
Well if it was me I wouldn't bother signing him. Mainly because I continually bought young talent at FC Bayern and then in 2015 came to the realisation that most of them had never even got a first team game because my team was young to begin with So that was a big waste of time. Also I only play one up front and had just bought my fifth striker for a substantial fee and he barely got a look in, I hate selling for less than I paid, but I had to on that occasion.
You have more than enough talent there, stop being greedy :p
Not to mention the other 3 Brazillian Strikers, Center Foward/ Attacking mid/ Winger and the Young Spaniard Angel. Yeah... It's just the whole airial dominance that makes me want to sign him, but that would kill Carroll's career off once and for all too...
...okay then matey! However, since I'd rather just ask a general question on more than just "THIS PLAYING IS ****ING AWESOME BRO!" I think I'd rather keep it here. As I said money and just shear volume of talent are probably the two major issues, not to mention the "last nail in Carroll's career" that I said.

And as I said, moderator or not, Player naming is not allowed in this forum. However, in GP&TG it is very welcome, and people will be much better equipped to make your decisions for you regarding player purchases.
fwiw, You've been mentioning Andy Carrolls "last days" for about 2 weeks. So I'd be very naive to believe that this is the last we'll hear of him.
If I sign Ayari it is! He will be completely pointless within the team and I'll pretty much have him until either a team makes a bid for him (at any price) or the end of his contract at the end of the season. After which he'll lead the poms to World Cup Glory (hopefully) and smash Rooney's scoring record.
I also don't what someone else to make my decision, I'm just curious what other people would do since I'm now questioning my judgement with this money at my fingertips after forking out my record fee for a midfielder who isn't even my best (£25.5 million), however that choice seems much better after 5 of my midfielders were injured within 5 days of him signing.
As for naming players. Andy 'moves like he's in molasses' Carroll and Baxter... who really cares, from what I've heard Carroll is complete crap in the patch databases (after his loan spell, on a different note Carroll at Derby may actually be a possibility, not likely, but possible now that he is not so...), and I've never heard anyone mention Baxter, so...
It doesn't matter how good, or bad the player. The fact of the matter is, its against the rules. I'm not one to dictate against it, that is for a mod to do, but I was just offering you another avenue as to where to get help for your question.
