ya, you're probably right, i just hadn't seen one so it seems fairly rare to get american regens. i should finish a season over the weekend so i'll try and reload some more then, see if i can get more definitive results.

If you can have stadiums named after you, which obviously you can, it means that the game must store your name somewhere somehow.

So why can't it put that name in a regen?

He's probably playing the American version of FM, which is the same basically, just different names for a few things.

He is probably using WSM (worldwide soccer manager) judging by his location and therefore the language is slightly differnet in this game.9 (Head Coach-Manager).

I believe Happy Slappy meant that in game your manager surname is Tawfall but the players surname is Bailey. Therefore not your son.

well in reloading a lot of saved games i figured out that an american regen isn't unique for me, one happened probably every 6-7 saved games. also you can get other nationality regens, it's just fairly rare. i ended up getting portuguese, french, spanish, and greek regens despite me having no in game knowledge of those places.

i reloaded probably 30 or so times and didn't get one sharing my last name, but i stopped reloading after i got a regen touted as the "possibly the best of his generation" plus an american in the same bunch. have to try reloading it more next year
