Clubs go up, Clubs go back down
I'm playing as Liverpool and the 3 clubs that get promoted and relegated the next season.
Does this happen in everyone else's games?

i haven't noticed if all 3 have gone down, but a few seasons ago all 3 stayed up, with blackburn, fulham & liverpool (ironically) going down.
usually it's 3 up/2 down.

Not on mine, there is usually one of the relegated clubs that comes back up but very often the other two struggle in the Championship.

IRL the clubs that get promoted are always amongst the favourites to go straight back down again.
Some clubs, eg Sunderland, develop a reputation as a "yo-yo club", getting promoted just to get relegated again, but then to instantly come back up again.
I don't see a problem that the same is happening in the game.

In my game with West Ham, Middlesbrourgh were relegated in the first season, promoted in the second, relegated in the third and now in the fourth season look to be back on their way back to the premiership.

Sometimes.
But then I'm in 2016 on my latest save and Stoke are quite a big club, as are Wycombe.

In my game,a pattern has now developed where the clubs that come up struggle and at least 2 go down if not all 3 thenat least 2 come up after the following season just like real life

Not in mine. I've just returned to Germany in season 20127/2018 and the league is barely recogniseable, Dortmund, Werder, Leverkusen, Nurnberg, Wolfsburg, Hertha Berlin and Gladbach have all been relegated and replaced with the likes of Offenbach and Aachen etc. Aachen are actually in 4th place for the Bundesliga.

are you playing with just one league loaded. that would probably explain it due to the reputation factor.
