You'd need more RAM than that, I think. I only have 512MB and it runs pretty slowly on mine. I'm currently trying to save up for a new one, as everything besides my hard drive is rather dated now.

See my computer doesn't actually run the gamt that slow. Does RAM affect speed?

To an extent. It depends what else you have running and how much memory that uses. Arguably processor power is more important, but there is a lower limit of 'free' ram below which performance will be degraded - this depends on the number of leagues selected and how long your game's been going on.

So you think that after a season or two my computer might be unable to run the game due to the sheer volume of data the game uses?

I can't tell, I can't see your computer. Some people have had problems after more like 5-10 seasons, though, IIRC.
