'could not load fixtures for the year' this is the message i get when i click continue, now my game will not load. what am i to do?

Did you save the game any time recent before having that error?

Long story short your game is unrecoverable. It apparently has to do with antivirus software scanning the temp files FM creates and causing damage.

To prevent it happening in the future turn off all antivirus programs when playing FM (stay away from dodgy internet stuff while it's off). Or add the temp locations to your exclusion list for on access scanning.

Also set up rolling saves so if you do face a future issue you have a recent save point to fall back on.

They really should add a warning about this as it happens fairly often. Having said that there's probably legal issues why they don't.

ok thanks for the advice, i have loads of backups but im not sure if they were before this error
