When I first buy the game I like to start off fairly low and work through the ranks, turning them into world beaters.

Now I've had the game 9 months, I tend to just start at bigger teams, eg, Newcastle and try to dominate football, make them rich as poss, and move around Europe's biggest clubs.

Only 3 and a half months til FM09.

That's a wild guess, by the way. SI haven't released a date yet.

Start unemployed, that's what I'm doing, managed to get the St. Albans job in November 2007, took them up to the BSP in 2008/2009, then with 8 games to go the next season (whilst 3rd in the table) I applied for the Bristol Rovers job, who were 18th in League 2.

i got the Bristol Rovers job, and took them to 7th in the table getting into the play-offs by 1 point, and against all odds I managed to beat Accrington Stanley 2-1 in the final to clinch promotion to League 1.

Currently loving the game, and if I manage to do well here then I am looking forward to moving abroad to either Spain or Italy.

Diagoras. Promoted to B National at the start of 08/09, trying to get them to European glory.

Starting unemployed is good fun, be careful with the leagues you load though, can be really hard to get a job if you don't go down far enough.

I would go for Newcastle , as they have a big fan base , and a club with re-building work needed . Get them into the top 4 , then try and win a trophy
