Zidane was sent off for the offence and France went on to lose the final on penalties after their midfield maestro had gone closest to scoring in extra time when forcing a flying save out of Gianluigi Buffon.

Yeah if it is racist, there is no clear theory in the matter. Rascism is just a quick way really to allege someone. Altho NO ONE knows what Materazzi said.

I don't care what the hell materazzi said, what zidane said was inexcusable. For a player of his high standards, who is a role model for players all around the world, to do something like that, its a joke. If it was any other player, they'd be suspended for months and fined 1000's. Its disappointing the special attention zidane gets jut cuz hes zidane  | |
