It's not possible, because there were a lot of changes in the database structure in every new version of the game.

They would be incompatible with FM08, same as loading up a savegame file from an older version.

Why would it not be possible? It's been done with previous versions, and surely is no different to the legends database floating about in the editors forum?

The legends database is made using the FM08 editor.

Thought that's what he meant, surely he doesn't mean using an old database from an older version on cm/fm? Of course that won't work... :rolleyes

As long as the database is compiled using the curtrent game, it will be compatible. Any databse complied in a previous version will not work in FM 08

I've seen a few on various fansites. Someone has u[ploaded a 92/93 database on thedugout.net, which i'm looking forward to trying. CMFrenzy also has a Busby Babes database, I don't know if anyone has created the more recent databases because they are available by playing the older games. You can pick most of them up for next to nothing.
