Just starting my 2nd season, and the groundsman asked me if i want to resize the pitch.

What are the benefits of this?

I thought all the football pitches are the same size, followed by the rules.

You can change the pitch size to suit your style of play. For example if you play long and direct it maybe a benefit to have a bigger lenght of pitch.

I play quite a narrow formation and I always pick the largest setting so as they have plenty of room on the ball, mainly because of short passing etc. At times i've ignored it and it doesn't seem to affect my play tbh.

Seriously it makes no difference. You will eventually lose all the same.

Very dry, but not true!

Thin long pitch if you have quick strikers, absolutely pulls them apart (and, on the flip side can result in YOU being pulled apart)

Short and wide for wingers/target men

wide and long if theyre really good at passing/fitness/anticipation/pace ... everything really
