I just got knocked out of the confederations cup with USA ended up on the same points 5 as both france and Argentina, same goal difference for the 3 teams and same goals scored as Argentina? Drew 1-1 against argentina But Argentina went through. Why? Not fair looks like i got knocked out on the little known alphabetical order rule

maybe coz the US is lower on the fifa nations list?

I think FIFA have changed the rules now. If every statistic is level at the end of the last match then i think it goes into penalties. Mabye something to include in FM 09.

incorrect

1. its a uefa rule
2. it only takes place when the teams play eachother in the last match

all 3 teams beat NZ 3-0 then USA 1-1 Argentina,
USA 2-2 France, Argentina 2-2 France.

France scored 7 conceded 4.
Argentina Scored 6 conceded 3.
USA Scored 6 conceded 3.
