2015/16 - SD1
Deteremined not to make this another single season visit I scour my scouting reports for some quality & signed up 9 with SPL & SD1 experience, unfortunately I'm unable to find a new keeper & this is costly as mistake after mistake at the back ruin all our hard work up front. Scottish cup is a real highlight with a run to the semis where we only lose 3-0 to Celtic, the 4th round 4-3 win at Ibrox one of my proudest moments (£1.5m also helps).
As for the league the cup definately gets in the way & our mid table security at Christmas is eaten away with a 3-2 last day defeat to Dundee who had been bottom since week 11 pushes us into the play-offs & them into safety. The final table has 6th to 10th seperated by only 3 points & 4 goals so it could have been oh so different
Final Standings: 9th 10W 10D 16D 44GF 50GA 40pts
Last 7 Watch: 1 win & 7 points (not including the cup semi)
Play-offs: Semi: 2-2 & 4-0 against Ayr
Final: 0-1 (92 minute
) & 2-0AET against Raith, a 2-1 win & my first ever Scottish play-off success. It was made easier with Raith going down to 10 men just before ET when they ran out of subs but I couldn't care, I'm just gald to finally get that monkey of my back.
