I do, though it'd be mighty strange seeing them in the third tier. Much rather them than Bury though!

What's with their black and white kits on this version of FM by the way? Is it a game error or have they changed from their normal blue kit?

I didn't know at first but after a little digging apparently its their centenary season and its just a one-off strip for this season. They'll be back as boys in blue in August. Mind you if they go up I'd half-expect them to keep it for luck!

Excellent report! I find your comments on Oggersheim amusing.

Just a question, what skin is that?

its the 'steklo_left' skin or some such gubbins.

I got it from the graphics forum on this site. there is a thread by a guy called superturk (or similar) which contains it. he also has numerous ground picture packs which really add to the atmosphere.

2014-15
Rochdale
Coca-Cola League 1

Board Expects: to escape relegation, after last season's shambles I check my ambition and agree to merely attempt to avoid relegation
Media Predicts: 24th, an 80-1 shot
Season Tickets Sold: 6195 - less than last year (again)
Finances: 500k in black

Cups
FA Cup: Beat Grimsby an Southport then in the 3rd Round I lose vs Sheff Utd (A) 0-1 in replay. Sheff Utd beat arsenal at home in the next round
Johnson's Pants: beat Hartlepool and Accrington Stanley then Lose to Preston in NQF 4-1, hit on the break 4 times!
League Cup lost in first round to Hull City 2-3 (AET)

This season was a better experience on every count. Expecting another season of misery, heartache and wild despair (and I play this game to relax??) I was worried when early season form pointed the way of another relegation dogfight, but results improved and a few shrewd young signings moulded well with my young squad to start showing some of the potential I had hoped for. Things were making sense and players were finding their feet and confidence. My ex-Gillingham striker continued to plough the lone furrow up front and bagged a respectable 22 from 40. Confidence newly restored, I ended the days of wild formation changes and gung-ho lunacy had reverted to the tactics that had served me so well previously but had seemingly been found out the season before. I finished 12th, never troubling the promotion mix but also comfortably evading the melee at the foot of the table with a good 6 weeks to spare. 12th was where I finished in my first season in league one, but the similarities end there. This season I reached 12th on an upward spiral, a team gelling and looking more compact. 2 seasons previous, the slump which had seen me fall out of play-off contention to 12th had been a portent of the diabolical season to follow, this year, despite it being an unspectacular season, things are looking up for next year. I feel we have consolidated in this league.

Legendary striker has re-emerged and started finding the net again, although restricted to the role of impact player / super sub.

In the close season, Sheffield Wednesday, stagnant and in need of a rebuild but in the Championship approach me. Another tough decision awaits.......

Final Position: 12th, voted overachievers.

minor update....

half way though the next season and things are going swimmingly

BUT - the board have accepted a bid of £1.5M(over my head) vastly undervaluing my star midfielder, a guy I plucked from Grays a year or so ago. the guy clearly has massive talent and has developed massively in the past 18 months! I'm livid. My whole team and tactic is built around this guy's strengths and his understudy isn't nearly as promising. I could understand selling a player on the periphery, or even my trusty Gillingham striker. these parts are replaceable! but this guy is my heartbeat on the team. I have him listed as 'key player' (the only one) and had his value pushed up to an artificially high £50M to discourage bids.

I'm about £3m in the black with wages below budget. For the first time we are a confident team making money. The cash side is not an issue. Bloody stupid chairman!! I feel like quitting. There appears to be no option to give an ultimatum to the board over this sale (needed for FM09!) and I dont know what to do. I have been forced to offer him a massively inflated contract and just hope he sees sense. (nice one board If we do keep him now, he'll be on almost treble the wages he was, and our wage budget will be back to par!)

GRRRR! I saved the game and went to bed. bloody ingrates! GRRR! :thdn:

He is the boss I'm afraid Valencia. He pays your wages too.
