Media predict 11/12, board expect brave relegation battle. Ever the optimist I go for a top half finish, but not brave enough to predict another promotion.
In December I finally managed to bring my former goal machine from Annagh and he scored in his first game and went on to score 9 in 15.
Players out 16 for 101k.
Players in 4 for 0k.
Never in any danger of the drop but I was personally disappointed with my 9th place finish. We did win the intermediate cup though beating Linfield Swifts 3-1 in the final, the second time I have won this competition. Our finances are in a terrible mess but the board offer me an extra £50 per week for 2 more years and I take it.
Final Position – 9/12 PL 22 W6 D9 L7 F40 A36 PTS=27
Irish Cup = 4th round
Intermediate League Cup = Group stages
Intermediate Cup = Winners

Good thread, I like the Norn Iron updates. A bit different from the normal English choices, but still British enough. Glad to see you return from the lengthy stay in the Job Centre, so easy to just give it up as a bad loss.
Surely its time to start coming up with puns for Dergview now?

Despite this we are still very deeply in the red. All round it was a decent season and most pleasing was a great run toward the end which gave me 2 manager of the month awards. My goal machine is starting to kick into action and I have a 16 yr old AMC who made the U21 squad at 15!! Although he hardly played for me I think next year he may break into the first team.
At the end of the season the board offer me a 2 year deal which I reject as I like to keep my options open and still have a year on my current deal.
All in all we never troubled the top or the bottom. Consolidation. Final Position - 5/12 PL22 W11 D3 L8 F46 A37 PTS=36

Dergview – First Division – 2018-19
Media predict 17/12, board expect respectability, I go for top half again. I immediately regret this as the board sell 3 of my best players for 210k. This includes my goal machine 50k and English striker 100k. My keeper goes for 60k but I have a great back up who was getting in the team toward the end of last season. No new players in, just relying on youth.
I made a decision to play more defensively this season and it paid off big time, we led the league from start to finish and again won the Intermediate cup.
At the end of the season I signed a new 3 year contract and I really hope we can hold our own in the top flight.
Final Position – 1/12 PL 22 W16 D3 L3 F61 A30 PTS=51
