Hey guys have any of your players ever won the World footballer of the year award.. Micheal owen came second one year when i was manageing chelsea

David Villa won it this year for me for my accrington stanley (accrington stanley who are they?) side

none of my players have ever won it

its just been man utd players- either rooney or tevez win it,and the other always gets runner up!

trezeguet won it in my first season as juve (scored 28 goals in about 20 games but then didnt score again after winning it till the last day of the season)

Soccer am's been getting steadily worse over the last year or so and yeah, Lovejoy leaving just made it crap.

as for player of the year, yes my players have won it Rooney won it 3 years in a row for me

defoe won it for me in 2009 with portsmouth.
He scored a crazy amount of goals and set up loads too.

ps. i've only recently been watching soccer a.m because i've only just got sky, and i love it.

so now i'm wondering how good it must of been when tim lovejoy was on it!
