I created the following file yesterday using the editor:
And placed it in the PSP/COMMON/FMH2008 folder which I created on the root of the memory card. I loads up the game and starts a new game. Uho still there and Vanden Borre not in db, also it appears that I dont have 12000 rep as the list of interested players has not changed from a normal game.

Any help greatly appreciated!

When releasing a player, you must put "free" at the end of the line. Vanden Borre isn't in the Scottish database so he can't be moved. However, Mightyowl has made a line to create him in the game and I have just used this and changed the new club to Rangers.

Overwrite your current changes.txt with this and then try again. Let me know if you are still having any problems.

that may not work either for two reasons

1. Richie De Laet will probably not be in the database when managing in scotland... and

2. max club rep is 10000

So I need to find a player similar to Vanden Borre in the Scottish db and swap his name + attributes.
I thought the other 2 lines would work because the editor allowed them without throwing an error.

Just a quick follow-up question:

What difference, if any, should I notice with the Gers at 10000 club rep?

More/better players should be interested in joining you. Marc said that it also gives you more money and wage budget at the start but I don't think this is correct.

Starting a new game all I noticed that was the board expectation was higher, money/wages the same, players value the same and the interested players was again pretty much the same.

I was hoping it might stop my players getting unhappy when transfer offers from man u etc get rejected...
