just started a season with leicester
does anybody know any good players suitable for the championship and the next step up! ive got a fairly healthy transfer budget!
cheers
Hi mate, i'm in my first season as manager of Leicester. Daryl Murphy from Sunderland is doing well for me in his lone striker role. Have found an amazing formation from the PC forums, and am in the play-off places. Let me know how you get on.
ive signed daryl murphy as well ive also signed anichebe from everton on loan ive also gt chris gunter on loan to. ive sold dj campbell and kisnorbo for bout 2.3 million between them. i dont know wether to buy players from league 1 because there cheap and alright. what do you think?
im currently top of the league but ive only played 3 games
Thats the same problem i've got too mate. Players from league 1 are much more affordable, but i'm not sure whether they've got what it takes to get me promoted (who knows, I might get lucky and get promoted through the play offs anyway, but I am planning for another season in the Championship). There's a player from Swansea, Leon Brittain, who i've been looking at - he looks good, and wont cost that much, but he'd obviously be a risky signing - but I guess thats why this game is so good, because it's realistic.
How is Anichebe doing for you? I might look at loaning him next season, although i'm happy with Murphy and Steve Howard (I only play one up front).
I got Martin Crainey on loan from Portsmouth in the January transfer window and he's been really solid at right back.

If you do a search on the PC forums, for Kimz 8.0.2 tactic. It's basically a 4-2-3-1 with whacky arrows!
I was a bit sceptical before using it, but my results have been really good since using it - if i'd have used it from the beginning of the season I'd have possibly been pushing for automatic promotion. If you try it, let me know how you get on mate.
my season is like a bouncy castle!
ive signed alan tate from swansea jermaine beckford and joe garner from carlsile
anichebe has gt 16 goals so far played about 25 games worth loaning i would also recommend gunter
i just play 442
I had to find a screen shot of the tactic mate - the downloads are for PC users, which is a bummer. It's on the thread somewhere, page 2 or 3 if I remember right.
The only thing I cant find is the team instructions and individual player instructions, so i've been tinkering around myself with that.
It's a good tactic for scoring plenty of goals, but i'm conceding a lot, and there's the odd game that goes badly wrong, for example my play-off semi final against QPR - I lost the first leg 5-1 using that tactic.
I'd be interested to know how you get on with it, if you manage to find a screen shot.
Has anyone had any success with any other formations? I'm a traditional 4-4-2 fan, but it seems I can never get any success with it in this game, no matter which variation I use (diamond etc).
