I got the game and played it's arse off when it first came out, and got VERY sick of it in terms of daft board decisions, rubbish player regens, crap youth every season, ridiculous refusals from average players etc - plus the in-built compulsory 'bad season' which has nothing to do with the players or management and everything to do with the game yo-yo-ing to keep you in check.
Has 8.0.2 resolved these matters, honestly?

Yes but in some cercumstances has created minor ones.

I think 8.0.2 is better than 8.0.0 but to be honest i could have played 8.0.0 quite happily for ages anyway.

But its well worth the patch up.
