Do attributes actually make a difference, I ran FMM as a test and gave the opposition gk a rating of 1 for every stat. He then produced a high number of saves and got a rating of 8. I wonder what his performance would have been if he'd been my player ?

Did you change his CA/PA? If not then his stats will have increased almost as soon as he touched the ball. It's no good giving someone all 1's, but leaving their CA as 180, because theoretically they are still a world class GK despite having all 1's (these attributes will rise dramatically and quckly to relate to the CA).

I set up a friendly between the highest-ranking team in the country and the lowest-ranking playable team. Result 26-0. Just looking at the speed and 'intelligence' of the top blobs compared to the other side answered tyhe question clearly.
