I went to the old Victoria ground the day Stoke celebrated promotion (as champs?) to D2. Last game of the season against Burnley… (92 I think under Loo Macaroni?) Delilah was sung so well that day… the clarets couldn’t be heard. Impressive. We went up the year after.

I was 10 when I saw SCFC reincarnated as the Cleveland Stokers in the old United Soccer Association. They played the Washington Dons (Aberdeen). I still have a program somewhere. I've been a fan from afar ever since. With the advent of the internet and on-line stuff, I've been able to really get involved as a Potter Fan. Before I die, I want to visit The Brit for a game.

Most Americans tend to be glory hunters...hence all the Arse Fans and ManUre Fans so I get a lot of strange reactions when I mention that I am a fan of Stoke City
