I'm not starting a debate about this, but had read this somewhere, and thought I would throw it out for discussion.

When a team at the lowest of the low is looking for players, don't they occssionally have open tryout days? So if the search screen were properly filtered, could that be simulated? Maybe randomly grabbing a couple of players from that properly filtered list and then offerring them a trial?

The question then becomes, does the search screen allow a proper filtering system?

Just some thoughts from a confused (read that as DMing) yank.

Trial days are something that to a man we'd all love to see introduced into FM but it's not a feature of the game at present so any work around IMO is not fair game.

To expand, an open trial is just that, you place an advert stating you're looking for players then just wait & see who turns up, using the search facility is akin to inviting a player to try out & as such is no longer an open trial day.

As I've also had a few drinks I trust that makes sense.
