Let me tell you my thoughts on this.

I'll be very surprised, extremely surprised, if anyone plays with Gretna FC next FM.

I'm in the same boat as my fellow Scot. Looks bleak.

I personally am hoping another Highland league team comes into the league and am also pretty glad to see the back of the fake bandwagon team.

As a fan of Dundee I have experienced first hand the arrogance and self-importance of Gretna FC from their season in division 1 and although they were the darlings of the press for a long while they never made any friends on their rise through the leagues.

Shame for the 20-25 true fans of the club for sure but overall better for the SFL and SPL to have a more solid and financially stable team in the mix.

Spartans, Annan Athletic, Preston Athletic and Cove Rangers are apparently the four teams in the running to take Gretna's place in the likely event that they're thrown out of the league.
