Will have to check when I next play, but I don't tend to worry about the average age.

At then end of last season it was 28, but now I'm into the new season with all the new regens coming through I expect to see the average age to drop down to about 21/22.

But of course this will again rise with the acquisition of a 36 y/o goalkeeper.

24 average age, oldest 31, youngest 20. i generally dispose of players once they hit 30 and my scouts are usually finding youngsters most of the time anyway

I'm in the 'If they're good enough, they're old enough' camp.

Average 1st XI age: 20.4 years, youngest 16 years, 318 days, oldest 31 years, 52 days.

Average 1st Team age: 21.3 years, youngest 16 years, 318 days, oldest 32 years, 246 days.

That being said, I always try to have some key experienced players in some important positions.

With me it depends on my side if i am a lowly side in the division I choose old experienced heads for the first couple of seasons whilst trying to build up my youth and bring them through gradually in place of the golden oldies
