LordMeister is infamous around these parts
Default First Time LLMer

found out about the LLm way a few days ago, and as i've tried manging LL teams before, i decided i'd give it a go, i'm using FM2005 (someone went and sold our copy of FM2007 ). If read through the rules and guidelines, so know what to avoid doing, and it actually gies me a good reason to use my scouts, because before now i never really used them

booked an appointment with frank, and came out with Swedish Second Division West Svealand team Degerfors, still waiting for the game to load at the moment, with English, Welsh, American, Brazilian, Swedish, German and Czech leagues

I will probably post my first update after i have finished my first season with Degerfors (if i survive that long )

heres to a (hopefully) long and (hopefully) succesful LLM carrer

Good luck over there in Sweden & remember to only start an update on your progress once you've completed 3 seasons.

firstly, sorry for double post

but i finally got to the points where i can make my first update

so here goes

2004/05
Degerfors - Swedish Second Division West Svealand
Board prediction: safe mid-table finish
Transfer Budget - 9k
Players In: 1 (5k)
Players out: 0 (0k)
Overview: Scout failed to find any useful players during the transfer window, so had to go with the team i began with. Not surprisngly, out in first cup game. But a 3-0 win in the first league game, followed by a 1-1 draw in which the opponents shots outnumbered ours by 5:1, made things look a bit more promising. 7 points from the first 4 games was great news, but made bitter by the news that our first and only keeper would be injured for a month, so had to go with greys for that time, which showed, with multiple 3 or 4 goals scored against in 3 seperate matches. But with a new keeper coming in and first team keeper back, things looked up, but mainly gained draws in the last period of the season, and despite losing the last game of the season, we just avoided the relegation zone on goal difference. However, due to not getting promoted, our top scorers non-promotion minimum fee release clause took effect, could bring in extra cash, but could also be vital to next season
Final League Position: 9th
Swedish cup: 1st Round, lost 2-0 to FC Trollhatten
Top Scorer: Aging Swedish SC, 16 goals
POTY: Same aging Swedish SC

2005/06
Degerfors - Swedish Second Division West Svealand
Board Prediction: Respectable League Position
Transfer Budget - 4k (the remains of last seasons budget)
Players In: 0 (0k)
Players out: 0 (0k)
Overview: Before season began, gained a load of offeres from various Enlish clubs from League 2 and below, rejected them all as i hoped to push my swedes a bit futher. Although regretted it after my first league match, losing 4-0, and was 2-0 after just 5 minutes. and we had a goal drought until the 4th game, which we still lost 2-1, and only scored because of a penalty. With the losses mounting up, i decided that if we were still in the relegation zone after the 10th game, i would jump ship. As predicted, after 10 games, we were in the relegation zone still, so i resigned, before the board got rid of me themselves, after 468 days at the club, and not much success. This is effectively the end of the season as i accept a job offer from Barrow and enter the new English League Season
Final League Position:12th
Swedish Cup: 1st Round, lost 1-2 to Oskarshamm
Top Scorer:Same Stiker as last season, x goals (i fogot :redface
POTY:left to early to find out

2006/07
Barrow - Blue Square North
Board Prediction: Avoid Relegation
Transfer Budget: 7k
Players In: 0 (0k) (my skills on transfer market are really showing here)
Players Out: 3 (100k)
Overview: before the season begins my first tyeam choice keeper startrs moaning about wanting to be transfer listed, but with 12 points from 5 games, i don't plan to offload him just yet. This winning streak lasting 8 games before being halted by Altrincham in a 2-2 draw from which we came back from 2-0 down :o. Brilliant run keep on going in cups, although in 1st round of FA cup we get drawn against Blackpool who are sat in the highest league drawn into the round, League 1, so an interesting challenge. As well as staying in 1st during this period of very few league games. Even after our unbeaten run of 13 games comes to an end at the hands of 2nd place Southport. around mid season, our aging english DC breaks the all time appearance record for the club of 120 apps. Followed by a wave of poor form knocking us to our lowest position of the season apart from our first game of 4th, before a outstanding hamering of Bradford PA 6-1 away frrom home, with one player getting 4 goals in the match, another club record broken this season, followed by the same player breaking the third record this season with 25 goals in one season around the the half way mark. Followed by 21 league goals giving him a hat-trick of records this season. Annoyingly enough, the Media keep asking me whether i will be keeping the player after every match. End of the season is spent battling for 1st place against Morcambe, and with boths teams current performances, looks likely to be decided on the last day when we play them. That came, and the only way we were going to take the league was by beating them by 7 goals, to get ahead of them on goal difference, obviously, perfect match for our key SC to get himself injured 6 minutes into the game in. Half time score 0-0, looks improbable, Final score proves it, 3-3, Morcambe win BSN title, and we enter the playoffs, which we lose in the semi's 4-2 on aggragate , either way, highly enjoyable season, and have turned down multiple league 2 team job offers to carry on pulling Barrow onwards, hopefully get them somewhere
Final League Position: 2nd (not promoted )
Cups: FA Cup - 1st Round, Lost 3-1 to Blackpool, after going 1-0 at half time
FA Trophy - 5th Round, Lost 3-1 (again!) to Exeter
Top Scorer: Triple record english SC
POTY: Same striker (always seems to be the top scorer )

Takes me back to some heady days, this thread... My first official LLaMa outing was with Barrow in FM05, and I took them for an interesting ride IIRC.

GL with the Bluebirds, I'll be reading on with avid interest.
