Victa: I guess that reflects the real life Dutch situation then.
Usually, when clubs go into debt the city-council takes care of their debts because of the public service aspect those football clubs have lots of the times.
My board are expanding my stadium by 4000 seats \o/
Its costing 6.5 million /o\
It's going to take 7 months and in the meantime my lucrative Serie B games will be played in a 2000 seater stadium (less than the number of season ticket holders I had last year /o\
My board have dramatically slashed my wage budget so even before any new signings I am 10k over it /o\
7 or 8 Serie B clubs have a single player who earns more than my wage budget /o\
Only finances I pay attention to is whether or not my club is in debt. I don't mind being over budget but don't like to be in debt which means every season uphill battle where I'm praying for a lucrative FA Cup draw or developing and selling players.
In my current save I am playing with east fife and have around 4 miilion in the kitty. Although I have worked my way upto the scottish first division the board hasnt turned into a professional one. I have now spent close to 4 seasons in the first division and since last 3 seasons i have been finishing 3,2,3 respectively.
Although prior to two seasons they agreed to my demands of expanding training facilities which now stand at top class they have turned down my attempt to expand the stadium or invest in youth.
Now I am getting bored of the save because I cant really compete with all the professional teams to win promotion as I can't sign good players. More then that what is wrong with the board/game that they wont turn professional even when every other team in the league is professional and a few have money less than ours..
