I appreciate the sentiment, and my take-away was indeed negative. I posted as way of adding to my enjoyment of a particular game. I think at this point this forum doesn't have much to contribute to my enjoyment of the game.
I have no interest in abandoning a game of nearly 2 seasons where I have run every game in real time in order to curry favour with a forum because of a single setting. I disdain editors, etc., but it would appear the enjoyment I get from the individual matches is not shared by the average LLM player. I originally started playing to help coach a team of 11 year olds... :p
For me to get to 3 seasons will take about 120 hours of playing time. Basically, I like a lot of LLM elements, but appear to be playing something else which doesn't fit this forum, which is why I asked the mod to close the thread.
I would actually like to find a forum that discusses tactics, etc., the way managers actually do (a part of real LLM life, read a bio of Shankly or Ferguson, they devoured tals liek that), rather than a tactics forum where you get 'it's your tactics' and a URL for the latest gimmick.

give the guy a chance, that was inches from scaring him away from LLM forever...
Moofar, the setting you obviously picked is not a huge problem, to be honest. It doesn't fully fit the main concept (playing as realistically as the game allows, and most people just don't have this type of experience when they start out in football management).
You seem to be new though, so as a starting point, I don't see a problem with it. The most important thing is that you enjoy your game. LLM is not a job or a punishment you have to endure. It's about fun and enjoying the time you are playing.
You'll notice though that the game might be rather easy for you given to the high reputation that might attract players of a higher calibre to your lowly clubs. Maybe you can still use a lower experience setting in your next career you start.
This was definitely the case until I got to League 2 - might have been a function of having no budget to speak of until 2nd season in Leauge 1 - but I could sign alomst anyone I could afford until this current season.
Now quite accustomed to being rejected...I think the game has its own Peter Principle effect.
As a North American more versed in our sports culture/business, I find it intriguing that players have a right of approval when sold/traded - that is a negotiated right only well established veterans have in NA sports.

I agree with Cosmo. I don't think any (reasonable) person would tell you to either restart your game with a lower reputation or not post here. If it's done, it's done and just something to remember for next time!
