I am F.C. Eindhoven in the Dutch Eerste Divisie (nearly ready for an update) at the start of the season my minimum board expectation is to progress to the 3rd round of the KNVB Cup. We draw Ajax in the 2nd round, obviously a big team, who are last seasons league and cup runners up.
I am very unlikely to beat Ajax.
Should the board expectations revise after the cup draw to reflect the situation as this would happen in real life and add realism to a LLM game?
I.e. the expectation could change to: "The minimum expectation is that the team uphold the club's honour in the forthcoming 2nd round match"
Any thoughts, also has anyone noticed the cup expectations revising following a draw as I have not.
Definately an area that needs work, the other one is if you get turned over by 4 or 5 goals the fans spokesman always seems to have a go aswell.
It's a feature with potential but should have been left out of the game until SI got it right. Surely they couldn't have been happy with it during testing & if they were I'd be very disappointed.
You also forget it was even more ****ed before the patch. And 'relegation' playoffs **** it more, due their being called relegation playoffs (e.g. N'Irish promotion to the Premier Division, you play a 'relegation Playoff' against a premier side. According to lots of the updates, people got sacked due to board confidence.)
SI really need a better way of testing the game. This version was far to buggy, and still is of xure
I guess the cup expectations of the board and valid and an indicator of the league that club is playing in. As far as changing them dynamically( after getting a hard draw) is concerned I dunt think it will matter that much( Although will be a good to have functionality in FM ). As it is I have never been fired because of my underperformance in the cups. Only the league and the long term expectations have been primary causes as far as performance goes.
If you're expected to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup for example, but get drawn at manure in round three, then the board should take that into account.
Had exactly he same thing in my current save, in the Ukraine. Board expected the semis, we met Shakhtar in the quarters, who were on a 28-game unbeaten league and cup run :eek: (basically unbeaten in 1 and a half seasons) and we only lost 2-1 on aggregate.
