Season 11: 2021/22
Good to see that the returned club favourite FC finally clicked over to AM/FC, a re-training I'd started in motion before he left. As such, he played in behind loanee striker & still poached a few. Based on our attacking form & a slightly younger & pacier defence, we managed to stay in the play-off places all year, peaking at 2nd over Christmas, before 3 straight losses put us out of contention. WBA put paid to any promotion hopes 2-1 Away & 1-0 home, penalties loss. Heartbreaking, but they are a much bigger & better club.
In other news, 'Other new AMLC' went out for $120k and an exchange - & coming back in on a free. Moral of the story? My POTYs are boomerangs.
In: 4 + 3 loanees, $120k
Out: 8, $195k
Finish: 4th
Cups: A nice FA cup 4th rounder vs Southend, lost 1-2 to a side that finished 2nd in the Premier League. Proud moment.
Leading scorer: Loanee striker, 37
Fans POTY: Prodigal
Next season will see the replacement of 37 year old, 567 gamer goalie & experienced DC.
Cardiff didn't last long, successive relegations sees them heading off to play in League 2.
Bristol City took home the FA cup, Arsenal won & were the only Big 4 club in the top 8 of the EPL. Spain knocked off Italy on penalties in Euro 2020; AC won (yet again) the champions cup

Bloody AC, the game must be coded to favour them.
I payed over the odds to get one of my club legends back for a final season before retirement, so congratulations on doing so well in getting your ex-players to return.

Neither have been hard, they both turned s*ite when they played elsewhere! Oddly enough, returned AMLC now isn't one of my club's favoured players. He definitely was in the transfer window I signed him back in, but on arrival got kicked off

Season 12: 21/22 (whoops. Have stuffed up the year at some stage, is correct now)
All's well that ends well. Bought in a new old centre-back from Hinckley to replace aging Belgian & an unpopular but talented goalkeeper. Mid-season, talented AM/FLC doesn't want to sign & England U21 AMRC wants to play higher up. Try and get some cash, U21 nets me $400k but other bloke goes on Bosman. A few mid-season runs of 7, 8 & 9 unbeaten all-but sews up the title, 7 straight wins (!) later on does the rest, sew up promotion with 5 rounds left & league title a week later. 2 losses follow but I just don't care! More pap in the other cups, but managed a 5th round loss to Premier League Leicester in the FA - they go on to win it. Championship Stoke start circling as soon as promotion is tied up (and my rep pops up to National) - as they're bottom I decline.
In: 13, $140k + 1 loan
Out: 12, $450k
Finish: 32W 9D 5L, 105 points & +60 goal difference. Champions! \o/
Cups: 5th rd FA, Qtr final Paint bucket, League cup 1st round (again!)
Leading scorer: Prodigal #1, 30 League / 35 all comps
Fans POTY: Prodigal #1. Making it 4 from his last 4 Tranmere seasons.
Off to the Championship - don't really know what to expect apart from more of the same. I've carried over about 8 or 9 first-team players every year. Not sure about a few of my defenders, but willing to see how they go & try and stay afloat.

First year up, few new ins with a few new dollars, few olds out, winning winning winning, not very realistic that a first year up team would be sitting top at the start of Feb, got an offer from 6th place Sunderland and took it. Much bigger (supposedly) better club, chance of making it in Premier which seemed very unlikely out of Tranmere's 16k odd stadium.
Or so I thought. Squad looked great from the outside, however when I rocked up a bunch of old, slow, problematic & melodramatic apparently answered to the name "first team". (I haven't made many good decisions in this save). Year is spent trying to maintain touch with the play-offs & weeding out the whingers (tough when it's 90% of your squad). Very poor morale, if I can't get them up into Prem league next year I'll bail.
In: 3, $3.4M
Out: 16, $6.1M
Finish: 11th
Cups: Not my fault!
Leading scorer: Canadian, 29
Fans POTY: Canadian

EDIT: Forgot to mention Tranmere. Promoted from 3rd as behind Derby. (2nd - 13th places are covered by 8 points)

Things took a turn for the better. Throughout the season another 4 or 5 first teamers wanted out, more games, more money, or a glass of warm milk before bedtime or otherwise had issues - I have changed my deodourant but still could possibly be me. Streamlined, younger squad this year, new CB pairing works from the word go, major signing (13.5 million!) 17 year old winger does the business despite lingering "slight" concerns. FA cup is a bit of a breeze, knocking over Billericay, Premier League Norwich in the 4th round then not getting another Premiership side until the final. A few good morale building unbeaten runs - and Wigan being docked ten points - leads to taking 2nd in January & staying in the top end of the playoffs. Playoffs against Barnsley (3-2 A, 2-2H) sets up a pretty important week and a half. FA Cup Final is a 4-1 train wreck of a loss, play-off final is a 3-0 kickaround. Easy peasy!
In: 10, $16M
Out: 7, $13.4M
Finish: 3rd, Promotion
Cups: FA Cup beaten finalists
Leading scorer: Strong striker, 29
Fans POTY: AMC, leading assists in all of England
Tranmere down quicker than you can say 'out of their depth'

First season up. Spend a few pounds on talented youth as I don't really have the cash to buy any genuine stars & need to replace some aged & aging talent. Go okay in the League cup, knocking off Tranmere in the Qtr final before being pipped on away goals 2-2 & 1-1 to Everton. Scare a few teams & sitting about 10th half-way, starts to shift against us & end up a very happy 12th. Up from 77th to 36th on the "Clubs rich list". Knock back repeated offers from some debt-ridden, mid table club from Manchester. Clean sweep the Premier League "Best Young Player", Italian mega-money winger knocking out French AMFRC & Greek AMFLC. They attract a fair bit of transfer attention though, might struggle to hold on to all 3
In: 10, $8.25M
Out: 17, $4.2M
Finish: 12th
Cups: 4th Round FA, Semi final League cup
Leading scorer: Strong striker, 34
Fans POTY: Strong striker
