Sweden

Surprised you found the step up from Fourth to third tier so hard. Currently top in my first season in the 1st Div South... Oh well

Surprised me too, but my only explanation is that I relied too heavily on a midfield based on loanees when I got promoted with Almeboda/Linneryd.

Next season they were gone and I couldn't fill the midfield with decent players, so we were overrun.

At Tenhult I could keep the squad together and had no problems.

In FM2007 I remember we did back-to-back promotions with Akropolis from 4th–3rd–2nd tier, so the relegation at A/L is something of a mystery to me.

Tenhult, 2018, Sweden First Div. Elite

Brought in five, loaned two, sold or released seven. No major changes.

Media yet again tipped us 15th, the fans and board wanted relegation.

This task was completed with about 10 games to go, so it indicates we've had a good season

We've had a good, solid start (unbeaten in the first seven games while for once advancing in the goddamn cup...), and never really had bad streaks. For one round we even topped the table!

Soon enough it was clear that we can't compete with much stronger IFK Malmö and Hammarby, but the third (promotion playoff) place was in sight through the season.

Unfortunately we screwed it up when we had five draws in a row at the end of the season...

The match against Jönköping Södra had the most outrageous refereeing I've seen in the season: my DM sent off in the 2nd minute for a challenge that was only worth yellow, and the ref went to award a penalty for them in the 87th minute which was never a spotkick (FA thought this, too). Most probably the wankers bought the ref, but at least they got relegated

All in all we couldn't really cope well with pressure towards the end of the season, and slipped down to fifth place. A very good season though, in such close finishes (we, Häcken, Västra and Sundsvall were all in it for the 3rd spot) some experienced players should help – but I can't seem to get any decent ones

Hammarby won the league with 25-3-2 and 101-22 goal difference

5th Tenhult 15 10 5 64-41 55 pts

Cup: knocked out Kirseberg (4-1), Lindome (2-1 AET), first tier Helsingborg (3-3 p, by far our best match of the season), then wend down to Djurgarden (0-1). Nice run.

Fans' POTY, top scorer, best avg.: young blonde striker having a breakout season. Scored 24 goals, averaged 7.48.

Prodigy of the season must go to my very young left-back. I only started him because my first-choice was out with a knee injury, and he went on to play nearly the whole season, averaging 7.13, scoring a goal and dishing out 11 assists.

The young blonde striker is off to Ljungskile for 200K and I badly need a replacement (hopefully I can get the guy who was his backup on loan). I'd also like to get a quality attacking midfielder and a right-back.

I'm afraid until we turn pro we have to be satisfied with 4th-6th place at best, as we can't seem to compete with the bigger clubs. But maybe I'm just pessimistic.

Wow, I'm off to Sweden then: finally a country where I can definitely meet the boards' expectations!

So, wanted to avoid relaegation

Edit button

BTW last year I managed to sell a young winger for 30K to fourth-tier Akropolis (I don't know what they saw in him). The guy went on to win the worst singning award \o/

I didn't know the new regen face generator showed acne. Maybe my team's carp facilities just include a good shower...

First Div Elite is good though, .

First Div Elite is the most pointless bloody division in the history of football, you mean Blu.

It has to be the bloody Swedish Cup

It's not a division anyway.

After last year's cup run I thought we broke the habit of losing to 4th tier/non-league teams, but we did brilliantly to be knocked out by Enskede, who had a striker with the finishing of 3

I just looked at the German leagues.

Bundesliga 2:
2nd: Schalke 04
13th Bayern München (!!!)
16th and relegated: VfB Stuttgart
17th and relegated: HSV
18th and relegated: Borussia Dortmund.

Germany went a bit strange :eek:

By the way, the Bundesliga titleholders are Hannover.

6th were Pfullendorf (who???). Saarbrücken 9th, Aue 12th, Osnabrück 16th.

It's really strange how all the big teams have fallen.
