Tenhults IF, Swedish 2nd Division Middle Gotaland

Media: 3rd
Fans, board: top half

Last year the team was predicted to finish 1st, but they fell flat on their face. I took over for the last league game and duly lost it, that was enough to see the need for rebuilding.

Team was in the black , there is a youth academy , so it was a foundation to build on. Kicked out 27 players from the different senior&junior teams.

Brought in 5 talents on permanent deals, 3 on loan and promoted 2 from the U18.

That made average age a mere 19. Good thing was that I managed to make a tactic which utilised the squad's main strength - the speed. The bad thing was that we were highly inconsistent early on, but improved soon, and after a 10-game unbeaten streak we joined in the title race.

We took the lead in the league with 5 games to go when Asmundstorp, who led all the way, were beaten at home by the 11th placed team. After the next round we were up by 4 points, that meant if we won against Asmundstorp, we're up.

Needless to say, we lost. Next round Asmundstorp were beaten by Motala, we drew 2-2 at home.

Before the last round we were leading the league with 39 points, before Motala (38) and Asmundstorp.

Last game we built a 3-0 away lead against Avesta in just 35 minutes, but they came back with two deflected shots to make the half time 3-2. Second half was sheer anxiety, but we managed to hold on to the score, so the kids (and I) go up! \o/

Pos.: 1st W: 12 D: 6 L: 4 33-23 42 pts (promoted)

At the end of the year I'll lose two good talents, but with the incoming 120K, finances will be secure for a while. Team has loads of talent, so I hope we don't head straight back down.

Cup sucked arse (1st rd exit)

Fans' POY: hard-working MC (7.22, 3G+7A)

Best scorer: Local legend young ST (12 goals, he's only 21 and his record is 118 matches/52 goals :eek

Akropolis' current manager IRL has started a new career as pundit on Sweden's biggest football forum webcasts. So Akropolis has risen to prominence.

So far 2 promotions vs 1 relegation and 1 sacking

Tenhults IF, 2014
Swedish 1st Div South

Fans&board: avoid relegation

You can't win trophies with kids, but you can rob the kindergarten, or so did we.

In came 4 young players for 1K plus 3 loanees, out went 6 for 120K.

The young squad (average age of 19) did a really good job, leading the table halfway through. Some bad spells sent us back to 6th place, but we won the last 6 games to finish a very respectable 4th.

I think the inexperience of the squad is to blame for missing promotion: we've had three bad streaks and were only able to recover after 3-4 matches. On the other hand, when we hit a good streak, we were winning matches on the trot.

I'm quite satisfied with the team, for next year I hope to bring in two experienced defenders and a MC, that should help.

Pos.: 4th W 14 D 4 L 8 48–27 46 pts

Fans' POY: local legend ST, scoring 14 goals in 25 outings. Now he's 143/66 for the club.

Best avg.: dangerous AMC, 9G+12A, 7.44

I don't even want to remember the cup Out in the first round.
