Because they're big, take up a ton of space, and don't really do much. You can say where you place without pasting your table.

There was a phase of people posting loads of tables. I remember one person posting tables of different countries in the update.

Then came the requests "can you post the table for xxx league?". It all became ridiculous.

We do constantly review the rules however.

Blinkin' 'eck...I can't believe it's more than four years since the table fiasco (Sunday, April 25, 2004 they were "actively discouraged")

As Pete said, it came a time where updates were simply post upon post of tables and they were shot down because of that (after about a year of it, if memory serves)

so one ****** posts too many tables 4 years ago and now its banned? oh and ian how can you close my update thread when i've played 9 seasons? i thought the rule was 3 seasons

You posted a table, you posted one season (many guys start after holidaying for a few seasons) and I've been accused of treating crappers leniently.

If you want it reopened (and don't post tables) then the offer made in the closed thread stands

you should treat crappers leniently, if it wasn't for crappers this forum wouldn't exist. and they are a dying breed now, cmc has about 2 threads a week these days...

tables i still don't understand and its a really bad rule, but when you bring in the must capitalise words rule, it won't be so bad.

if someone doesn't want to read it then they can scroll down the page, its not that hard!

i promise to only post my current league table, i think posting other leagues tables is stupid too and sounds like a random event
