2011: MABI Swedish First Division South

Made a couple of inadequate signings, plus a few half decent ones and a few brilliant loanees. Mainly relied on last years squad.

Started off brilliantly, with 10 goals in two games. Dropped off the pace of a blistering Karlslund (the team who nicked my playoff spot last season) But was second until a 3-2 loss to Jonkopings Sodra with 3 to play. A last minute goal from my Brazilian forward (last years Hattrick man) kept me in the hunt for second with a game to play, and also sealed his spot as the top scorer ever for the club. A point behind Linkoping, I played 5th, they played 9th, both away. I go 2 down however within the first 20 minutes. I change how I play, and go in at the break 2-1 down, thanks to a goal from my Brazilian left wnger, making his 50th club appearance. On 52 minutes, I equalise. I’m back to a point behind second. On 78, my heart booms, as my Iranian AMC scores what could prove to be decisive. But no, Linkopings are ahead, and I’m still third. Then it comes. Visby Gute equalise. Its one apiece over in Visby, and I’m third. I score another, and then hold off swathes of attacks, with my opponents hitting the woodwork three times in the last 5 minutes. But I’ve done it, I’m in the playoffs!

Oh well, onto the playoffs:
First leg was a romp, a 5-0 thrashing away at Qviding. I was all but up.
Second leg was a poorer affair, ending with a last minute equaliser for me, and 2-2.

But hey, altogether now:

Halfway stage.

The board wanted me to battle bravely against relegation, and the media thought I'd finish dead last. Even the bookies hated me, giving me 2000-1 odds at promotion. So I aimed for 33 points, which, according to recent years, keep me up.

I've played great. After 15 games, I've got 23 points, and sit in seventh, well on my way to brilliant mid-table obscurity
