If I ever get to the stage where I am in the position of taking over Ipswich or Deportivo, then I will just take them and stop.

I like when youngsters have been through the U-18s/19s and reserves and are about to make it into the first team, whether promoted or found by my half-blind scouts.

I've done this when I was at St. Albans when I got them promoted to the BSP, I had a 15 y/o GK come through who had the potential to be a good League 2 player, sadly I left for Bristol Rovers with 8 games to go and I haven't seen him since.

For my part I like too to look the web in order to see how the real thing looks like and funny facts about them (one time I managed a club in Poland in FM2005 where players IRL didn't get paid so they went on strike) That a thing that create a real link to those clubs.

I usually leave only if I feel there is nothing more to improve, but usually it's :'Oh, just one match more, sure I can do better this or that...'

Of course, there is always something that may be improved..

I think I get to a point where I feel like there's nothing else I can do with the club, and some offers will come for some other misfortunate team and the grass starts to look greener. Then I look at the info screen for the interested club and remember all the foulness I had to deal with just getting basic amenities for the one I'm at.
So I usually stay.
