Matt, I honestly believe that you and WingCo shoot from the same side of the court, the beauty of LLM is that there are many, many ways to play it and there's a definite line that mustn't be crossed in order to claim "LLaManess"
From so many directions that line is the same, but it becomes distorted from one direction to another.

I think it’s me who’s having the trouble understanding.
But I’m not for budging. Exploit revealing is absolutely no different to overrated git player tipping. No way. And I would speculate that it’s much worse a sin. Personally seeing the player names don’t bother me, and I’d speculate that (ignorance aside) it doesn’t worry other regulars too much either… but we absolutely should not allow it. Personally the exploit stuff does bother me. But most users are smart enough to work out a way to post about this stuff without mentioning engines or nuts and bolts or exploits or players.
As it happens, I’m no Zealot. I do it my way and through my own interpretation of realism, but I’m all for the grass option. As realistic as the game allows. Yes, there are limits but we don’t need to narrow those limits to ourselves further. If summink spoils just one single LLM’rs game then we shouldn’t do it. That value is one of the cornerstones of this forum.
And iajafer i completely agree, there are many ways… but we (as a forum) should take the safest option that preserves the way we all play the game. And that, to me, is a no-brainer.
P.s. Obviously I’m not the sole guardian of what goes on in here. Frank is. But I got a hunch he would not want us to stand by and watch any values get diluted.

Personally, I think that if an exploit is made known, then people are tempted to use it no matter their ethics.

Yes, come to think about it. Was it Japan & South Korea when that happened?

I think it was in France, in 1998.
Update: I checked and it indeed happened in 1998. They went out at the group stages though, having lost to Yugoslavia and Germany.

They drew 1-1 with us in the 1978 World Cup, Shirley Temple beaten at the near post by a meagre drive.
